Results of SITS-MOST
The SITS-MOST trial was designed to determine whether treatment with intravenous alteplase within 3 hours of onset of ischaemic stroke was as safe and effective in routine clinical practice as in clinical trials. Furthermore the trial compared centres with experience in the use of thrombolysis for acute ischaemic stroke with those that were inexperienced. In January 2007, the results of SITS-MOST were published. Read a detailed summary of the results.
New: SITS-MOST slide kit
The SITS-MOST slide kit is a
PowerPoint presentation on the world’s
largest stroke registry, which was
designed to determine whether the
routine use of intravenous alteplase
within 3 hours of onset of ischaemic
stroke was as safe and effective as
reported in randomised controlled trials.
It contains the objective and rationale of the SITS-MOST trial, details of the trial design, baseline data and important results. A full list of references, as well as the prescribing information for Actilyse® can also be found within.
The SITS-MOST slide kit is now available for download. Please click here to obtain your own personal copy of the slide kit.
